This fruit-herb combo uses organic D’Anjou pears, organic turbinado sugar, some juice from organic lemons (the acid-sugar combo is what preserves the fruit and keeps it shelf-stable), and is then finished with fresh, organic tarragon sprigs that lend a subtle but noticeable anise note to the mix. Pear Tarragon is great on croissants, biscuits and other pastry; this jam also pairs extraordinarily well with cheese (gouda, chevre, feta, roquefort) and with pork chops (condiment), pork roasts (glaze), or as a schmear on a baguette slice with thinly sliced prosciutto. Mix it with 2-3 tablespoons of miso paste, a dash of your best gin, and a couple drops of sesame oil for a tasty glaze on grilled fish or grilled vegetables (eggplant, zucchini, summer squash, onions, kabobs).

Amazing flavor combination, we love this jam on everything, although I have had to stop my wife from taking spoonfuls direct from the jar.

My husband and I bought this at a specialty foods show.I didn't open it right away but when I paired it with some good cheese it accentuated the triple crème nicely, used some on a turkey, ham apple and brie sandwich, sooo good
Anyway, so delicious a perfect amount of tarragon, not overwhelming. Delicious!!!

The perfectly ripe pears in the jam meshed deliciously with the light hint of tarragon! It was the crowning accompaniment to the moist tenderness of the grilled pork chops I served my guests.

Although we love this jam on English muffins and waffles, our favorite use is over a soft cheese, like brie. Just bring the cheese to room temperature and drizzle the jam over. Leave some on the side to add as needed.

This Pear Tarragon Jam is a delightful pairing of flavors. The pear is delicious and the tarragon is subtle enough to give the pear a nice complement. The jam is smooth with just the right amount of sweetness.

This unique pairing of flavors works so, SO well and makes for an absolutely delicious jam. It's just sweet enough and the herb gives it a perfect kick that sends me back to the jar for more every time. Actually, I'm off to eat some more now!

The intense pear taste combined with the tarragon make this a really great topping for vanilla ice cream, as well as rye toast.
